  • State agency of roughly 275 full-time employees with a pending 2017-2018 biennial budget request of $391 million. Agency has evergreen constitutional authorization to issue $6 billion in general obligation bonds as well as authority to issue revenue bonds through the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) program created through passage of Proposition 6 in 2013.
  • Serves as a gubernatorial appointee on the Environmental Flows Advisory Group, Western States Water Council, and as an ex-officio member of the Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Council.
